Set Up and Manage the Job Board
The Job Board section allows admin to add/edit job posts, download Job Board data, change relevant settings, and add custom fields to the Job Board form. Admin can also use the Job Board shortcode to embed the board on a WordPress web page.
Add/Edit a Job Post
To add or edit a job post, go to Information Boards > Job Board.
- In the Job Board tile (at the top), select the green "Add Record" button at the top-left corner of the table; a form will display.
- To edit an existing job post, intead select the pencil icon to the left of the job post record to be edited; its full form will display.
- Enter the Position, Company, City, State, and Country details.
- Fill out any CUSTOM JOB FIELDS you've created (see below, "Add a Custom Job Post Field").
- Enter the Job Description using the editor.
- Enter the External URL and External URL Text.
- This is an external link and description of the external link to/for the job post.
- Enter the relevant CONTACT DETAILS.
- Check/uncheck Do Not Display Posting.
- Check this box if you are not yet ready to make the job post visible to non-admin users.
- Select Add Job Board Record to save changes.
A green confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen when changes have been successfully saved.
Add a Custom Job Post Field
To add a custom field to the form for creating new job posts, go to Information Boards > Job Board.
- Locate the Job Board - Custom Fields tile, at the bottom of the page.
- Select the green "Add Record" button at the top-left of the table; a form will appear.
- Fill out the form fields:
- Display Order
- The order in which you'd like the custom field to appear relevant to other custom fields; all custom fields must have a numerical value entered to display correctly.
- Label
- The label for the custom field.
- Field Type
- Select the relevant field type.
- Display
- Check this box if you want the custom field to display to applicants.
- Require
- Check this box if you want the custom field to be required.
- List of Answers
- Relevant for the Field Type selections "Checkbox," "Single Select Box," and "Multiple Select Box"; capitalize as you want the text to appear, and separate options with commas.
- Description
- Any notes related to the custom field—only visible to admin.
- Any notes related to the custom field—only visible to admin.
- Select Add Job Board Custom Field to save changes.
A green confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen when changes have been successfully saved. Repeat this process for each custom field needed, and remember to set a sequential Display Order for each.
Change the Job Board Settings
To see/change the Job Board settings, go to Information Boards > Job Board.
- Locate the Job Board - Settings tile.
- Fill out the fields:
- Notification Email Address
- The email address you'd like to receive notifications when a new job is posted.
- Default Expiration Period (or) Default Expiration Date
- How long you'd like new resumes to be visible to users before being removed.
- Auto Approve Postings
- Check this box auto approve job postings without admin approval.
- Allow Renewals
- Check this box to allow the the job post to be renewed once it has expired.
- Allow Public Postings
- Allows the public to post to the job board.
- Include CAPTCHA on Form
- Check this box to require that applicants complete a CAPTCHA when applying for the posted job.
- Revenue Code
- The code to distinguish the revenue for this particular job post when exporting to QuickBooks.
- Member Cost
- The cost for a member to post a job.
- Public Cost
- The cost for a non-member to post a job.
- Member Renewal Cost
- The cost for a member to renew their job post once it has expired.
- Public Renewal Cost
- The cost for a non-member to renew their job post once it has expired.
- Select Update Resume Settings to save changes.
A green confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen when changes have been successfully saved.
Download Job Board Data
To download agregate Job Board data, go to Information Boards > Job Board.
- Locate the Job Board - Download Data tile.
- Fill out the Date Posted Between and/or Date Expires Between fields.
- Check/uncheck the Suppress Job Description box.
- Suppresses the job description for the public and/or member view.
- Select Get Download.
